Cypress Perez (aka Cyp D Hype) was known by many & loved by all!
Cypress was a larger than life character. Coming from a Vinyl DJ Background, he evolved within the Music industry over the years, becoming a Rapper/song writer, music producer, concert promoter & on screen personality for the Hustletown Network.
Outside of his personal endeavors, he was always one to lend a hand! He loved kicking in doors for other people, and using the best of his resources to help other emerging artists realize their dreams! He brought visions to life & his impact on the industry will be felt for years to come.
Cypress passed away August 2nd, 2022 due to unpredicted health complications.

Cyp’s debut solo album was released in 2019, and featured many of Houston’s finest Independant Artists and Musicians! His spirit shines through on these records and showcases not only his diverse personality but also the diverse set of artists he chose to include.

To continue the Legacy that he started, we will be forming a charity in his name:
“The CYP Foundation for Spinning the Youth”
Anyone who knew Cyp, knew that he always wanted to be a positive influence on the youth. The mission of our Charity will be getting kids out of the streets and into productive hobbies, revolving around: Art, Poetry & Music!
In the good name of our man Cyp D Hype, we will be creating new opportunities to influence and encourage the creativity of the next generation!
